Kiefer’s statements on Germany’s treatment of their own history, seems to parallel the urban development of Dallas. If you compared to the downtown areas of Fort Worth and Dallas, Fort Worth would probably seem like a much older city. Dallas still carries the burden of JFK’s assassination, racial tensions, and law enforcement corruption. For several decades the city has been trying to redefine itself with towering pillars of glass, and monuments to the future.
